14" x 11", acrylic and pencil on canvas.
I really enjoyed painting this piece. I'm usually a big pre-planner, but decided to just go straight to the canvas on this one. I sketched the fox in with pencil first, then filled him in, and the area around him, with soft shades of acrylic, and worked pencil lines back into my edges as I went. The rest is a soft, illustrative piece that retains a drawing-like quality. The bits of pencil work are a little shiny, too, and pick up the light!
