Description
A little great horned owl portrait, just 5" x 7", painted with watercolour, ink, gouache, and prismacolor pencil, on cold-pressed Fabriano paper.
I loved the pose in the following photo by DA user toribio, and the angle of the wing, so I loosely based this piece on it, though the head angle and "ears" were altered and I tried not to copy it too literally. (Occasionally I get sucked down a rabbit hole of extreme "accuracy" when I use photo reference, so I'm trying to kick that habit!) shmeeden.deviantart.com/art/Gr…
