This took WEEKS. I kid you not. Though the effort involved far outweighs the payoff of the joke... heh... I regret nothing!!
This comic came about as the result of some joking around on Skype with the fabulous and devastatingly brilliant Biskuits and Kryss LaBryn, who then gave me feedback on every single drawing for every single panel for over a month. You guys deserve medals for your patience in putting up with my neuroses! ("OMIGOD, does the piano look okay NOW?") Couldn't have done it without your feedback.
All penciling and inking was done by hand, with each character and prop being done and scanned separately. Colour was done digitally.
Welllp, it was certainly a learning process... !!
(Characters Christine and Erik are from the original Phantom of the Opera novel by Gaston Leroux -- which is why their look varies from the stage production.)
(*Note: The music on the music sheets IS actually The Jewel Song from Faust.)
**This piece is not to be used without my permission. Thank you!**
